New Pokémon Snap release date announced in latest trailer

New Pokémon Snap was announced for Nintendo Switch last year and we haven’t heard from it at all. So far, that is.

A new trailer has fallen for the game, showing more of the game and revealing the release date, which isn’t too far off – April 30.

The gameplay is quite similar to the iconic original Nintendo 64 game, with a track on rails dotted with adorable monsters for you to photograph. There are ways to interact with them, like throwing food for them (or setting fire, like Torchic does in a adorable moment).

At the end of each step, a teacher will judge your photos and give you a terrible score because they do not appreciate the correct composition (we know it’s not right in the center, Oak, it’s cinematic!).

A new feature is called the Illumina phenomenon, which makes Pokémon shine for some reason.

We don’t know if this is the only new feature, or if any others are being kept under wraps at the moment, but it’s new. Pokémon Snap game, and we’re really, really excited.

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the ensemble Pokemon franchise, with a lot of project. As well as a lot of goods, a musical collaboration with stars like Katy Perry was announced, while remakes of Nintendo DS entries Diamond and pearl have been the subject of many rumors.

New Pokémon Snap will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on April 30.
