New Pokemon Unite gameplay footage leaks

In case you forgot, there is a new Pokemon MOBA in the works called Pokemon Unite which is expected to arrive on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in the future. While The Pokemon Company hasn’t talked much about this new game since its first reveal in 2020, it looks like we may be getting a lot of new information soon.

The reason for this belief is that a new gameplay video for Pokemon Unite recently found its way to YouTube. The video, which was just uploaded today and can be found below, features an entire match starting at the opening Pokemon selection screen through to the post-match lobby and the main menu that l ‘accompanied. The images we see are centered around a player controlling Charizard, but other Pokémon such as Slowbro, Absol, Snorlax, and Lucario are also featured.

If you are wondering how this gameplay came about in the first place, Pokemon Unite is currently going through a closed beta phase. The only downside is that this beta is only available in China at the moment. The in-game text of the gameplay video surely revealed that if you’ve ever watched it for yourself. At this time, there are no plans to bring this same beta to other regions, but that could change in the future.

The positive side of this whole situation is that for Pokemon Unite owning a beta means an official release might be coming sooner than we think. In all likelihood, the game will undergo additional beta phases in other parts of the world in the coming months before releasing thereafter. While this is by no means a guarantee, other multiplayer games, especially those on mobile, tend to follow this pattern.

Of course, if any revelations are made about Pokemon Unite in the near future we will obviously keep you posted here on ComicBook.com. Until then, you can continue to follow all of our future coverage on the game here.
