A new issue in Pokemon Unite is being exploited by some players, causing others to stop playing Ranked Matches until it is fixed.

Lucario has always been a popular versatile choice in Pokémon United, but a new bug discovered after the last patch made one of Lucario’s special moves a killing blow. It is operated by many during ranked play, destroying enemy teams with the push of a few buttons.

The MOBA title is no stranger to serious bugs with certain characters, like the recent Blastoise Pokemon unite glitch that also ruined ranked matches. Climbing the ranks is the only way to receive large amounts of Aeos tickets at the end of a season, which is why achievements with characters like Blastoise and Lucario are so important.

The Lucario bug in Pokémon United was highlighted by Redditor xumei, and it takes advantage of the special extreme speed movement. When another button is used at the same time, it triggers the bug, which causes a lot of damage to enemy players. Extreme Speed’s ability to instantly recharge if it hits a different Pokémon with each use makes the problem even more devastating. This means that entire squads can be wiped out in a matter of moments. Add to that the ease of accidentally activating the bug, which means those unaware of the exploit can still use it regularly, which is understandably frustrating for those who play competitively in ranked mode.

Unlike the Crustle Unite Move issue that developer TiMi Studios assured fans it will be fixed in the next update, there is no indication that the developer is even aware of the Lucario bug, let alone when it gets fixed. Thus, players trying to climb the Pokémon United The ranks are forced to stop playing until the issue is resolved. While they may take a chance, with that comes an increased risk of losing their rank when playing against someone who exploits the glitch, accidentally or not.

Some fans have criticized TiMi Studios for not removing Lucario and Crustle from Ranked Matches despite being clearly bugged, pointing out that this practice is common in other MOBA titles like To hit. The extended wait time for known bug fixes and the frequent occurrence of serious issues cause a lot of frustration in the community. A lack of communication from the MOBA developers has been criticized since the game’s first non-detailed patch notes, and issues like the Pokémon United The Lucario bug once again highlights this problem.

However, TiMi Studios has made an effort more recently to try and respond to community concerns more quickly. The studio also appears to have listened to the Pokémon United pay-to-win critics, promising in a recent blog post to level the playing field with a new way that doesn’t rely on kept evolving elements. This indicates that bugged characters could potentially be removed from Ranked Matches if fans demand enough. For now, however, players will still have to deal with broken characters.
