Rainbow Six Siege's big new Operation Burnt Horizon update is about to go to PS4, Xbox One and the computer, and Ubisoft has finally revealed all the details. As it was revealed at the 6th edition of Invitational, Year 4, Season 1 will bring together two new operators, Mozzie and Gridlock, as well as a new card named Outback.

Gridlock is a 1-speed forward, 3-armor armor, equipped with three Trax Stingers – clusters of expanding disposable cleats that slow down and damage enemies that walk on them. Think of them as attacking versions of razor wire that cause damage – and emit a similar amount of noise. Gridlock is therefore considered an anti-roaming operator. His weapons include the F90 or M249 LMG assault rifle, as well as the Super Shorty sawed-off rifle.

Mozzie, meanwhile, is a 2-speed defender, armor, who uses three deployable anti-noise devices, who will automatically hijack and take control of any enemy drone entering a small radius. The drone is then entirely under the command of the defense team; a small blue light is the only indicator that the attackers have on the fact that their drone is no longer under their control. Mozzie can use an AR9 assault rifle or the Ronie R10 submachine gun, as well as the same Super Shorty as Gridlock.

Outback is the Australian themed map of the Burnt Horizon operation. Its restaurant, hotel and gas station form a relatively small, L-shaped stadium offering many close combat options. Outback is free for all players, while Gridlock and Mozzie can be unlocked with Renown in play or by purchasing the Grade 4 pass.

Ubisoft has not yet announced a release date for Operation Burnt Horizon, but it is expected to be released soon on the PC player test server, before a broader launch on all platforms in the coming weeks. .

In Invitational Stream 6, Ubisoft also explained what it had in store for the game in the coming year. First of all, it's about turning into a team of developers and configuring multiple cells to tackle different aspects of the siege experience, including how players interact with the game and the other players. One of the most important new features to come is designed to solve the problem of team assassination. Season 1 of the fourth year will test the inverted friendly shot, which damages a player who has attacked other players from his own team.

Those who deal damage to a friendly player are punished. Any additional damage inflicted by them is then inflicted on them. Ubisoft noted that it was the first iteration of the inverted friendly fire system and it intends to work on this system in the future.

Ubisoft is also considering deleting the beta version of the ranked game. He will use the mediator and prohibited play mode as the main match type in this competitive play list. A ranked center is added to allow players to get more information about rotated cards, personal performance stats, and other rewards details to win competitive games.

Another thing revealed during his fourth year roadmap includes a play list designed to help newcomers get into the game. These are level 1 to 50 players and will put them in games. games with players of similar level. The rules will be very similar to those used in ranking matches, so that newcomers feel comfortable with the way they are played at the highest levels. Newcomers can still play casual games, where the action time will be reduced to three minutes and 30 seconds.

Naturally, each of the four seasons composing the fourth year will also add two new characters from different parts of the world to the game. Former operators, meanwhile, will benefit from a discount, which will allow them to buy cheaper whether you are spending real money or currency in the game. Ubisoft intends to add a new operator selection screen to accommodate the arrival of new characters from the fourth year onwards. .

Card revisions are also in the plans. Kafe Dostoyevsky will have an enlarged second floor to give players more room to work, while moving the stairs to the ground floor to reduce dead space. The bomb site of the bakery, meanwhile, has been moved into the kitchen, which helps the defenders.

Kanal is being re-imagined for season 3. There is a new road up and a tunnel below, so there are new options to the red building approach. The throttling points have been a bit open, so it's not as claustrophobic as before. Finally, the theme park should be modified during season 4 and it is very early in the redesign process. Ubisoft showed on a floor plan that he would look down the hallway on the second floor and added that he was hoping to rework the lighting in order to facilitate the identification of the threats.

Operators will also be more balanced, and a whole team is dedicated to that. For Lion, Ubisoft pushes him into a role that makes him an intelligence operator who helps others get killed by providing them with information. Glaz has become a little too good up-close, so his IR range will be tied to his movements. He will need more talent to successfully penetrate enemy lines. He has also switched to a sniper role rather than an entry-level fragmenter. These two characters will be updated during the first half of the fourth year.

In terms of gadgets, the deployable shield will be easier to position and will have small slots allowing anyone behind the shield to see what is happening on the other side. An operator can not shoot through them because they are primarily designed to be an information gathering tool. The Capitao fire grenade is also being developed, so it's better for zone denial. The charge of offense also undergoes a small change in the quality of life, the impact of an explosion is not so extreme. This means that it is less likely to kill enemies that are not really close to the blast zone.
