Samsung has released two versions of its latest Galaxy smartwatch. There’s the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which comes with a physical rotating bezel and is a sequel to the Galaxy Watch 3, and then there’s the regular Galaxy Watch 4, which replaces the Galaxy Watch Active 2 as an offering. sportier smartwatch from Samsung.
While the Watch 4 doesn’t have a physical bezel like the Tizen-based Samsung watches, it does give you the option of swiping around the edges of the screen to emulate a physical bezel. And with a new update for the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung is improving the usability of the virtual touch bezel.
Some users have reported scrolling issues using the Virtual Bezel feature, and the new update will hopefully fix them all. The update also brings improved system reliability and stability, as well as a new animation when you open the app drawer to access the vast library of apps you can install from the Play Store with the switch from Samsung to Wear OS.
Galaxy Watch 4’s latest update weighs around 290MB, sport firmware version R8 ** XXU1BUI5, and is available for both Watch 4 models. You may not be able to download it immediately as these updates are rolling out in phases, but expect to see it arrive on your watch in the next few days.
