“The Ascent,” a new sci-fi action and shooter role-playing game (RPG) from game developer Neon Giant and publishers Curve digital, was released on Thursday (July 29th).
The game, set in a dystopian cyberpunk world, is available for purchase on PC and Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One, as well as through an Xbox Games Pass membership. “The Ascent” offers both single player and up to four player game modes that allow the player to take control of a worker enslaved by the company you own.
The player belongs to The Ascent Group – a metropolis run by a company – but following a series of disasters that led to the collapse of your neighborhood, you must take up arms to survive, fight your rivals and find out what which triggered the collapse of the first place.

The cyberpunk action shooter is the debut title from Swedish indie studio Neon Giant, a 12-person studio made up of video game industry veterans who are among the minds behind the “Gears of War” franchises, “Wolfenstein “and” Bulletstorm “.
In the game, you start out as a slave worker, but as you complete missions and level up, you become more powerful and unlock shiny new guns, toys, armor, and augments. Throughout the game, you will also come across characters who have not only learned how to survive, but also how to thrive in a twisted and hostile world.
Powered by Unreal Engine, the game will fully support 60fps and 4K gameplay on the Xbox Series X and help take the genre to the next level by delivering high quality visuals and high levels of gaming performance for the next-generation console gamers.
