What is the underside of lens reflections?
After many rumors and false starts, including those from strange authors like Quentin Tarantino and Noah hawley, it looks like a new Star Trek the film finally crosses the stratosphere – and perhaps the Paramount +?
By deadline, Star Trek: Discovery writer Kalinda Vazquez will write the script on a new Star Trek film for Paramount Pictures and JJ Abrams“Bad robot. While other details are scarce – including whether Abrams himself will take a step back after directing the 2009 Star Trek and 2013 Star Trek Into Darkness – this is what we know.
Vazquez, who is actually named after a character from the original Star Trek episode of the series “By Any Other Name”, wrote for Discovery from season 3, writing episodes like “Terra Firma, Part 2” (other TV series credits include Once upon a time and Fear the living dead). Her Star Trek the presentation of the film was purchased by Paramount as part of its blind deal with the studio, representing that studio’s desire to move forward in the Star Trek the universe – and to push Vazquez, whose vision they clearly appreciate, further as well. This is pure speculation at this point, but with all the others Star Trek content now available on fledgling Paramount +, could the studio make its big hit to debut a new movie on the service? And will Vazquez’s movie feature the cast of Abrams from Trekkers, or will it be right? Discovery feature film? Hmm …
