Out Now On Switch
On September 4th, this week's Nintendo Direct featured several upcoming games for Switch in the near future. These include the remastering of Xenoblade Chronicles, the Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon Sword & Shield, and the October Overwatch release, which had leaked a few times but was used to launch the live stream.
It was an impressive Nintendo Direct, but some of the biggest surprises of the show were the revelations of several games and updates available now. Below you will find an overview of all the games unveiled on Thursday that are now available on the Nintendo Switch Eshop. In addition to the revelation of Deadly Premonition Origins (who suffers from an audio bug that will be corrected), Nintendo also unveiled the Super Kirby Clash cooperative brawler and a port for the famous RPG Divinity: Original Sin 2. There was news about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, too, including things coming out now and coming.
Another important news from Direct: the SNES games finally arrive on Switch's Nintendo Online service. Although they did not come out just after the Direct as the games described below, they did not arrive until a day later. A batch of 20 SNES games is available if you are a subscriber of Switch Online, which gives you access to Breath of Fire, Star Fox, Super Metroid, Super Mario World and Super Ghouls & Ghosts, among others. Just like NES games, you'll be able to use backups and convenient rewind functionality, and a new online multiplayer feature is available. In addition, Nintendo will launch a new SNES wireless controller for the switch, and more SNES games will be added to the library later.
