As I suppose, many of you, I spent last weekend rushing through season 3 of Strange things to make sure nothing was spoiled when I went online. It was a great season – the series did an admirable job balancing separate but related intrigues, and I loved the wacky side it could bring to the show while being able to creep into much more serious modes when it was necessary to. Seriously, we need Steve and Robin's spin-off as soon as possible.
But Strange things It's also one of those shows that makes me wonder if Netflix's "free all at once" strategy is really the best way to go. We could still talk about Episode 1 right now, analyzing the future of the show and what it is exploring as our character attachments grow. That's a big part of popularity and criticism in 2019, and Netflix shows … a kind of stealth instead of encouraging conversation.
It's a pity. This means that we must all rush into a show and most of us think about it. Strange things for a week each year, despite its quality. Now that Netflix is so well established (ditto with Strange thingsI do not know if she has to use the all-in-one gadget to get people's attention. I guess it's no different from the way the movies work: you rush to see them and join the conversation, or you wait later and hope not to be spoiled, but I'm not sure that always be the best choice.

Mulan

Disney has released a new trailer for the Maleficent which really gives an idea of what the movie is about. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning's characters are again at odds. At first, it was because Maleficent de Jolie wanted to kill Fanning's dawn, but this time it's because Maleficent loves her too much. He leaves on October 18th.
Another life
Without doubt, the presentation of this program was "Would not it be a good idea to put Battlestar Galactica Katee Sackhoff's favorite in space? And you know, the answer was obviously yes. The new science fiction series will arrive on Netflix on July 25th.
jawline
jawline looks like the documentary version of Eigth year. This is a teenager who is trying to be a social media star and personal challenges he faces behind the scenes. My colleague Adi Robertson talked about it at Sundance, writing that the film "works as a dissection of modern digital celebrity". The film arrives in Hulu on August 23rd.
A black lady show
HBO has launched a new series of comedy sketches featuring a long list of hilarious stars that will allow the series to explore aspects of culture that have been overlooked on television. It starts on August 2nd.
Succession
HBO has released a full trailer for season 2 of Succession, which shows the Roy family plotting, fighting and bothering his way to dominating the media. The new season begins on August 11th.
The big hack
Netflix has released a new documentary that seems to give a high-level and dramatic overview of all data sharing on the Web in recent years, with a particular focus on Facebook and Cambridge Analytica. The film is "sometimes fascinating" and "surprisingly credulous," my colleague wrote after watching the documentary at Sundance. He leaves on July 24th.
Freaks
All this sounds a little strange and low budget but the critics for Freaks were great. Maybe do not look at the trailer, my colleague Tasha Robinson says it's better not to know anything.
Pinocchio
Normally, I do not include trailers that are not destined for the United States, but it is worth it. Just know that this is not done by Disney.
