Some weeks, Netflix makes me a little crazy by trying to find something that deserves to be watched, and other weeks it publishes something as surprisingly clever as Russian doll. You can write essays only about the stunning visual effects of the show, not to mention the trip that it actually makes you undertake.
It is also one of those rare shows that allows you to meet to perfection. Not that everything is answered at the end – but he manages to explore the marmot day– like vanity inside and out and close the key emotional arches in eight quick episodes. Things are always messy, as you should, but you do not need to see a second more.
This is something I wonder if Netflix will allow more. It's not that the contained miniseries have never existed before, but it's less common, as the networks would encourage people to come back a lot. But Netflix can keep the series contained animated, recommendation after recommendation, which may result in more intelligent programming that can blur the line between film and television.

Sonic the hedgehog
Do you know that something socially awkward and embarrassing is happening and that you can not look away? It's literally every moment in this trailer that shows Sonic. The creative approach of this character leaves me perplexed. It's just right. so. weird. (And I guess the studio just figured that out.) He's out on November 8th.
Veronica Mars
Hulu brings back Veronica Marsand this teaser is the first to offer a real look at the new season – as well as some of the stars it brings. The new season starts on July 26th.
The servant's tale
Hulu's hit series returns next month with Elisabeth Moss's Offred in search of allies to help her fight the totalitarian society she is enslaved to. The show seems about as dark and obsessively shot. The season starts on June 5th.
Ophelia
What do you do when you are already in one of the biggest series of movies in the world? You are going to do Shakespeare for a little while. Ophelia a Daisy Ridley featured in a Hamlet adaptation centered around one of the most complex characters in the room. He leaves on June 28th.
Late at night
Here is Mindy Kaling's latest trailer in the Sundance movie, in which she plays a new recruit in a talk show that desperately needs new voices. This sounds like a very fun way to explore the challenges faced by women of color in comedy (and in mostly white and male workplaces in general). He leaves on June 7th.
Apocalypse Now: Final Cut
I do not know why Apocalypse Now It takes another cut, or honestly, that could see this movie many times or in an even longer format, but the film now has a 4K reissue supposed to be halfway between the original cut and the Redux cut that was released in 2001, with about 30 minutes of additional footage on the original. It will be in theaters on August 15th.
Precious gems
John Goodman and Danny McBride play the lead role in a humorous new HBO series about a family of wealthy and extremely inappropriate televangelists. I was really ready to hate it, but the series seems to be very fun. It debuts in August.
Succession
I did not look at any of the Succession still, but several Edge staff members panic when this trailer has fallen, which seems like a good sign that I should include it here. The new season begins in August.
Crawl
OK, this movie looks ridiculous in 100 different ways, but it's also a great premise for a thriller. Crawl is about a woman trying to escape from a Florida home that is quickly flooded by a hurricane but can not leave before releasing her father who is trapped. In addition, there are super diabolical alligators. He leaves on July 12th.
