Shocking new footage from the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan.6 shows Trump supporters crammed into the Senate Chamber, where they searched documents and demanded to know where lawmakers had fled.
The video, first obtained by The New Yorker, was shot by veteran war correspondent Luke Mogelson, a writer for the magazine, who followed the crowd as they entered the Capitol.

“Where are they?” a rioter can be heard screaming.
Others are seen in the Senate Chamber while others rummage through documents.
“There must be something here that we can use against these bastards,” said a man, flipping through a notebook while taking pictures with his phone.

Meanwhile, the so-called “QAnon Shaman” – whose real name is Jacob Chansley – can be heard audibly screaming into the rafters above while hitting the ground with a spear. He later descends to the ground, telling the other intruders, “Good to see you guys. You’re fucking patriots.”
Another clip shows a group of rioters walking down a hallway, knocking on doors of lawmakers’ offices and shouting words like “treason” and “1776”. Other rioters demand to know the whereabouts of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Mogelson, who served as a medic in the New York National Guard for three years, shot the video from the time the rioters first broke into the Capitol, where they clashed with police, telling them: “You are outnumbered. Millions of us out there! And we are listening to Trump – your boss!”
