Respawn Entertainment revealed that a brand new pistol would be added to its famous Royal Battle title, Apex Legends. The announcement was short and enjoyable, with a video of the rifle in question that was posted on the official Twitter account of Apex Legends. The video has a perverse effect, so it's hard to look at it, but it seems that the weapon can be used as an automatic rifle and the alternative shot allows the player to shoot. Respawn has not specified when the new weapon will be added to Apex Legends, but only that it will be available tomorrow (February 20). Apex Legends is a free title that was launched on February 4 and has become incredibly popular since. Respawn revealed that the game had reached 25 million players during the first week of availability and had "more than" at most 2 million simultaneous players at one time. The game takes place in the universe of Titanfall and, although it does not have the iconic giant mechs nor the ability to park in environments, it retains the frenetic and satisfying play style of Titanfall.
Apex Legends also takes a page from the Overwatch book and presents a host of characters with unique abilities. This is what gives Respawn a unique dimension in the royal battle genre.
In the review of GameSpot Apex Legends, critic Phil Hornshaw awarded 9/10 to the game. "Apex Legends is a mix of smart shooting ideas that help create a competitive team game that exploits the best the strengths of royal battle while addressing many weaknesses, "he said. "Respawn's intense focus on team play makes Apex more than a valuable addition to the genre; it's an indicator of what the Royal Battle should do in the future."
