Vegetarian and vegan burgers are on the rise to food chains across Canada lately and they have been a huge success. First, A & W's burger beyond meat and breakfast sandwich were a huge success. It now seems that Canadians may soon choose another vegetarian hamburger when they grab food. Burger King's new "Impossible Whopper" hamburger, based at the factory, will probably come to Canada this year!

Burger King representatives confirmed to Narcity today on April 5, 2019 that the new herbal burger "will likely come to Canada" this year. They added that they had not yet given an approximate date because the "Impossible Whopper" hamburger is currently undergoing a pilot program in the United States.

So, what's the new Impossible Whopper? This sounds like the Whopper burger that many Canadians have come to love, but the patty is made from entirely herbal ingredients.

It is marketed to taste exactly like the meat version of the already popular Whopper burger. The company announced it for the first time early this week on April 1 and is currently testing the impossible Whopper by making it available in several restaurants in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

The new Impossible Whopper burger slab is made by Impossible Foods, which is a company specializing in the manufacture of herbal substitutes for products of animal origin. Impossible Foods indicates that their Impossible Burger website is composed primarily of vegetable and watery proteins containing heme on their website.

Impossible Foods launched its Impossible burger in 2016, and they have improved it with new recipes since. "We launched the Impossible Burger in 2016, but we did not stop there, and since then we have learned to make it even better," the company said on its website.
