New York Giants draft pick, Julian Love, in the DB lineup

When the New York Giants chose Julian Love with their fourth round pick in the NFL draft in 2019, it was expected to slip immediately into the team's corner-half rotation.

But Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman has considered other things for Notre Dame's defensive back: he has seen a player who could add versatility and security to the game as well as the cornerback.

At his rookie mini camp last week, Love said he was ready to play anywhere on the field and help the Giants to need it.

"I've moved a lot, you know, where they need me, I'll probably play. Work on the corner, work on nickel, work on safety. Just trying to do everything, it helps, "said Love.

Another thing that Love has attracted attention is his corner brother and his second, Deandre Baker, whom the Giants took over in the first round to acquire it.

Love mentioned that he admired Baker's confidence and physicality and that he would thrive while playing alongside this type of teammate – a teammate who does not fear his confidence.
