Suspected serial killer handyman Kevin Gavin was insulted as he was escorted by detectives out of a police station in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Thursday night.
“You’re going to rot in hell, sir,” a woman shouted.
“Look at him! Look at him! He sold! He’s old too,” she gasped.
Gavin, 66, allegedly killed three elderly women at Brownsville Woodson Houses.
His first murder took place in 2015, the second in 2019 and the third Friday, the NYPD said in announcing his arrest earlier on Thursday.
He was expelled from the 73rd arrondissement on Thursday evening by two detectives – keeping his heads down and saying nothing.
He moved his feet as if he too was fragile and doomed like his alleged victims.
Gavin, who sources said confessed to killing the women when they didn’t pay him, had already been arrested eight times for burglary and criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, cops said. The most recent was possession in 2010 of a controlled substance.
He was being taken to be indicted and brought to justice for all three murders, but New York City Police Detective Chief Rodney Harrison said an investigation was underway to determine if this was the extent of his alleged madness.
