Hometown favorite Josef Newgarden sadly ended his qualifying for the Music City Grand Prix in Nashville after crashing in the final round of the Firestone Fast 12 qualifying round.
Holding sixth at the time – the last driver to transfer to the Fast Six – Newgarden hit the wall, broke his front right suspension, pulled out a yellow flag and was penalized under rule 8.3.5.4, his turn the fastest was canceled due to the triggering of the local yellow.
