News of the New England Patriots: Phillip Dorsett would return with a one-year contract

Tom Brady will have a familiar face to present next season alongside Julian Edelman.

according to Ian Rapoport of NFL MediaPhillip Dorsett has agreed to return to New England for a one-year contract. The 25-year-old has a chance to show good numbers next year and then hit a free-agent in a better position than during the off-season.

Dorsett had good chemistry with Tom Brady over the past two years and finished last season with 32 catches for 290 yards and three touchdowns. Once Josh Gordon got on board, his role was reduced and, when Gordon was suspended indefinitely in December, Dorsett did not seem to outshine Chris Hogan on the chart in depth.

The fast spread is ready to have his best year as it will be his second full season in the system.

There is always the impression that the team has yet to add a veteran receiver, which may still happen in the coming days.
