News on Bray Wyatt’s likely AEW start date if he signs

[ad_1]

It has been reported that Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) is due to start with AEW soon, but this has yet to be confirmed. In an update, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Bulletin reports that if Wyatt signs with AEW, he is said to be making his debut on the September 29th edition of Dynamite on TNT, which will be held in Rochester, New York. Rochester is the hometown of the late Brodie Lee.

This possible date for Wyatt’s AEW debut is interesting as it was believed he was subject to a 90-day non-compete clause with WWE, which would expire on Friday, October 29, a week before AEW Full Gear on November 6, and a month after the Rochester Dynamite. It’s unclear whether Wyatt was subject to another non-compete clause instead of the standard 90-day clause.

The Observer noted that Wyatt has apparently also had discussions with Impact and will likely end there if he doesn’t debut Dynamite on September 29 or soon after.

If Wyatt ends up with Impact, he could make his October 23 pay-per-view Bound For Glory debut in Las Vegas, if he is subject to another WWE non-compete instead of the standard 90 clause. days.

AEW appears to be Wyatt’s likely destination. It was reported last month that a feeling among AEW’s superiors was that he would sign with the company as soon as he could, while at the same time it was reported that Impact officials were “really after” Wyatt and wanted to sign it.

WWE released Wyatt on Saturday, July 31. He had been in the business since 2009 and left behind a former WWE Champion, a two-time WWE Universal Champion, a former RAW Tag Team Champion, and a single SmackDown. Team champion.

Stay tuned for more.
