Kia Joorabchian wants to dismiss the speech of a summer movement while accusing rogue elements within the Barca to fuel speculation in the media
Barcelona told striker Philippe Coutinho that he would not be sold this summer, but anyone inside the club could leak speculation to the media about transfers, according to the report. Player agent, Kia Joorabchian.
The Brazilian striker has struggled to meet expectations since his transfer of 100 million pounds (126 million dollars) since Liverpool in January 2018.
Coutinho himself admitted that he had had a disappointing first full campaign at Camp Nou, which had earned just five goals in the Liga and two assists.
The speculations have surfaced on the future of the 27 years. Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and even the former club Liverpool have been presented as possible destinations this summer.
Asked about his future last month, the former Inter striker admitted that he did not know exactly where he would play football next season. He insisted, however, that his main focus was Brazil's Copa America campaign.
As the tournament was over and the attention began to move towards the new campaign, the future of Coutinho was again brought to light.
Joorabchian, however, tried to stop the discussions on the transfer by insisting that Barca's president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, told Coutinho that the Catalan club had no intention of selling it before the new season.
"I will not let people talk about Philippe and belittle him, because for a year and a half we have not said anything," he told the Telegraph. "I will not let them do it and all in Philippe's camp will not let that happen because Barcelona has told us that he will stay."
Barcelona's apparent willingness to keep Coutinho contradicted by numerous media reports suggesting that a summer transfer is to be expected.

Joorabchian even went so far as to suggest that these rumors came from the Catalan club itself.
"Coutinho's camp is not actively trying to move him, but we think the people of Barcelona will act without authorization to try to sell the player," added Joorabchian.
"Either Barcelona must contain members of its organization who give contrary information, or they must tell us the truth if they have changed their minds."
