- With their season on the line, Canberra produced a miraculous comeback to defeat Canterbury last week. The Raiders had 14 points in advance with only six minutes to play, but they scored three times to confirm their 28-32 win and retain their hopes of play-off.
- Brad Abbey came out with a concussion, so Nick Cotric returns to the back and Jordan Rapana returns to the side of the wing after recovering from an ischio injury -jambiers. Shannon Boyd is also injured while Liam Knight is eliminated with Josh Papalii and Luke Bateman returning respectively from Origin and injury.
- The Raiders remain six points outside the top 8 but have four teams in sight and if they can find some consistency with a winning race, they could sneak into contention.

The Rabbitohs were the point winners the last time the teams met in Round 11 and did the same thing in Round 16 as a goal of Adam Reynolds sentenced the Cowboys at a loss of 21-20.
THE PREDICTION
The heroism of Canberra last week can give her the conviction she needs to stage a victorious race rather than making her way through the playoff race. Having been at the wrong end of many tight games and late defeats this season, the Raiders have finally stolen one by a late exciting victory over the Bulldogs. They must now support that against the Cowboys who suffered grief again in their last encounter against the Rabbitohs. North Queensland has only won two road games this season and facing a team from Canberra should not help their cause. With so much to do for the Raiders, they can win consecutive victories and continue their season.
