Two men in their mid-twenties were arrested after a "big fight" in a North Auckland rugby club over the weekend.
Police were called to the Hibiscus Coast Raiders rugby club on Brightside Rd in Whangaparaoa around 4:00 pm Saturday
Several people had to be hospitalized after the fight that took place during a match against the Mount Wellington team.
They received minor to moderate injuries, said a police spokesman.

"An older supporter was attacked by a player from Mount Wellington, stunned and still beaten while on the ground, kicks were kicked on the ground and kicks from everywhere," they said.

In a post on Facebook, the rugby league club of the Hibiscus Coast Raiders declared that he made no public statement while the police were investigating.
"It is important that we support those who have received injuries right now, "said the post.
The first coach of the Hibiscus coast, Neil Duff, declared Stuff that he would not comment not before a meeting with Auckland Rugby League, to be held Monday night.
The p resident and head coach Mount Wellington Warriors were approached for comment Sunday night.
The Auckland Rugby League stated that she could not make any comment at the present time, except to confirm that an ARL judicial process is ongoing relative to this case.
Mount Wellington withdrew the match, 40-14.
The two men will appear in North Shore District Court this week, police said.
A 27-year-old man will appear in court on July 5 and a 26-year-old man will appear in court on July 6.
