The name of the police wanted a man after filming Invercargill last weekend

Police issued a warrant arresting Anthony Miles Tamiti Watkins, 24, about shooting a man from Invercargill last Saturday.

Watkins has connections to Invercargill, Dunedin and Bay of Plenty Sergeant Stu Harvey describing him as "unpredictable".

"Watkins can be unpredictable, so you have to be careful if a member of the public sees or has a relationship with him," Harvey Harvey warned

. , a 52-year-old man was shot dead on Kelvin St in Invercargill. The victim is still at the Southland Hospital recovering.

Harvey says the victim wants to thank members of the public for their help at the time of the shooting.
