More protests are expected while Trump visits Scotland before Putin's meeting
Hundreds of people should protest Saturday as President Donald Trump visits Scotland. The last time Trump went to Scotland, it was in 2016, a few hours after the vote on Brexit and shortly thereafter he became the presumptive Republican presidential candidate. On Friday, Trump attempted to downplay the damning remarks he made in a London newspaper about British Prime Minister Theresa May and said that he had apologized to her for what he called "false" story. The trip to Scotland should be less spectacular, as it spends the weekend away from the high-level summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
