A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Auckland.
A police spokesman said the accident had occurred at Te Atatu South near Te Atatu Rd and Elcoat Ave
by ambulance at 18:38, the spokeswoman said.
An incident report from St John indicates that two ambulances attended the incident at 18:31
Chrissy Hamilton, spokesman for St John, said that a patient had been treated and transported to the Auckland Hospital in critical condition. wrote that Te Atatu Rd was closed between Tirimoana Rd and Divich Ave.
"Please avoid the area if possible or consider using an alternative route," wrote Auckland Transportation.
"The road will reopen once the investigation is over."
