Parker, 26, Will Face His First Opponent Since he's dropped his WBO crown to Anthony Joshua with his first career loss to Cardiff earlier this year, when he faces Whyte at O2 London Arena Sunday morning, June 29, NZT
Speaking to Stuff, Higgins says he trusts his fighter come back in style, before potentially winning another shot at Joshua.
"Joseph, he still has that hunger," says Higgins.
"I looked at him after Joshua's fight, and he was almost more motivated come back and prove what he could do.
" All he has to do now, it is winning. If he wins, he returns directly there.
Higgins also weighed the prospect of a defeat for Parker, but does not believe that consecutive losses will mean the end of the hopes of a future kiwi fighter. "If Joseph took a second defeat in a row, it would make life very difficult for him and for us, while he was winning, he could be in a sold-out Wembley stadium."
However, Higgins is still waiting for a comfortable victory for his fighter next week.
"This time, I think he'll be looking to win with emphasis. It may not be a knockout, but I think he will try to dominate and win with emphasis, "he said.
