A so-called thief stabbed the counter of a Hamilton dairy with a kitchen knife in front of the vendor before escaping today with empty hands

Police seek public assistance to identify offender following incident at Ellicott Road Dairy at 1:20 pm

A man entered the store and was arrested approached the counter with the face partially covered, carrying a kitchen with black handle. Detective Sergeant Michael Handley stated:

The staff member said that the police were on their way. Mr. Handley stated, "The offender is described as a Maori or Pacific Islander, 5'6" (167 cm) tall, solid to large, and he was wearing distinctive clothing.

Police say anyone who recognizes who the photographed man will have to introduce themselves and talk to the police as soon as possible.
