Teenager accused of assassination on a deadly attack on the west coast

A teenager appeared in court, charged with the deadly murder of Cyrus Alexis Alupis, a 41-year-old man from the west coast.

Alupis was found stabbed at Cowper St, Greymouth, around 2 am on Monday.

    
        

Family members confirmed that he was Cyrus Alupis. This was confirmed by police Monday night.

A 17-year-old man appeared in Greymouth District Court charged with murder Monday afternoon. He was remanded in custody until Tuesday, August 21st.

Alupis' daughter-in-law, Shiann Green, said Stuff that he was " the best dad I could ask for ".
