Mark Labbett from The Chase talks about his recent weight loss

Mark Labbett hopes that a change in eating habits will help him live long enough to allow his two-year-old boy to go to university.

The hunt star nicknamed the beast open to Britain Loose women talk about the reasons for his recent weight loss, admitting that a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes was the real catalyst.

The 6-foot-6 Labbett has lost 19 kg in recent months and is currently weighing about 150 kg.

"I'm still eating very well, I'm cutting sugar because of type 2 diabetes and it's chasing an active two-year-old."

He says one of his hunting companions also inspired him to eat better. "My colleague Paul Sinha also received the same diagnosis and quickly lost two stones.

"But even though I'm lucky enough to move to non-diabetic status, I now have to treat myself as if I were diabetic.I want to stay long enough for the little man to go to college."

However, Labbett admitted that he allowed himself the "strange" sin.

"But the difference is that it's the strange sin instead of – there's a beautiful and huge box of Christmas chocolates and they're all mine, that's my problem. no limit with regard to chocolate, I could go on all day. "
