The All Blacks' half, TJ Perenara, said he was blown away by the NBA star's concern, Russell Westbrook, for his culture.

The 26-year-old went to the Oklahoma City Thunder headquarters this week while he was taking a well-deserved break from rugby.

He was photographed giving two of his All Blacks jerseys to Westbrook and Kiwi Center, Steven Adams, one with his original number 9 and the other with his substitute, No. 21 .

"Honor and privilege to be able to speak today at @okcthunder @allblacks and #Haka, completely amazed by your hospitality and sincere interest in our culture," wrote Perenara.

The Thunder have already acquired a solid understanding of Adams' Maori culture, which still keeps his legacy at the forefront of everything he does and has brought many coaches and Thunder players to New Zealand for his off-season vacation and his basketball camps.
