A Haka video for the NDP withdrawn after being ridiculed on social media

A video of Keppel Corporation showing its employees mimicking the haka – a former New Zealand Maori war dance – was removed from the NDP's Facebook page after being criticized for its disrespect for Maori culture

The video was an entry for the contest of support of the NPD which opposed the companies, the governmental agencies and the schools against each other.

On Twitter, where the SGAG website shared the video, many users also criticized the video for being so rude.

Some of the comments on Twitter include "Keppel stops embarrassing us!", "It's just awful" and "This is not what we want to see during our NDP!".

However, not everyone found the video offensive.

O A Twitter user wrote: "Everyone in the video seems happy to show the flamboyant side of Keppel, which certainly worries us."

The New Zealand Herald even reported about the video, by writing that the haka was "badly played" and that it was a "mixture of squeaks"
