A serious wounded in the Bay of Plenty crash

One person was seriously injured in a car accident on Te Matai Road near Te Puke.

A spokeswoman for the police said she received a call at 7:10 pm and blocked the road.

The Saint John ambulance warned that six people had been injured, including a critical, a moderate and four minor.

An on-site reporter stated that police, ambulance and fire services were present and that traffic was reduced to one lane.

She stated that the accident had occurred at the intersection of Te Matai Rd and Te Puke Highway and that the traffic had developed.

Meanwhile, at 19:40, a car drove on No.3 Rd.

The police were not sure of injuries at this point but it appeared that it was minor.
