A beachfront home was completely destroyed by a fire last night on the Kapiti Coast, north of Wellington

The fire engulfed the entire property and lit fires on at least two neighboring houses. A fire department spokesman told Stuff that two nearby houses had caught fire because of its intensity. Both had now been extinguished.
