Motorists are warned of delays on several Auckland freeways at rush hour after breakdowns and accidents earlier this afternoon
On the North Highway, traffic was heavy for traffic north between Onewa Rd and Northcote Rd and between Tristram Ave and
Traffic to cities was significant between Esmonde Road and Harbor Bridge
On the South Highway, southbound traffic was intense between Newmarket and Greenlane, also from Manukau to Takanini due to a previous outage

The Northwestern Highway was heavy for westbound traffic between Great North Rd and Te Atatu Rd.

Earlier today, two freeways
A left and central lane under the main road above a bridge near Ellerslie had been closed and motorists had received the # 1 Order to blend to the right.
The large bursts of glass littered the road. The New Zealand transport agency said just after 1 pm that the area had been cleared and that all lanes were now open
However, motorists were warned: "Traffic remains heavy from Hobson Street heading south.
"Please delay your trip if possible and expect delays because congestion slowly fades. SH1 SOUTH MWY – SOUTHBOUND – DEBRIS – 12.25pm

At 1:30 pm, an accident was reported on the interchange of the road National 16 and SH1
