The crew of TVNZ Breakfast has criticized Air New Zealand's latest safety video, calling it "embarrassing" and stating, "I hate it so much".
The team touched on this topic in connection with the comments of the first New Zealand MP Shane Jones about the security video, in which he called it a "juvenile mishmash".
The clip features a host of kiwi talents, including Julian Dennison, Randa, Kings and Theia, rapping and singing the airline's safety message on Tricky's air of Run-DMC.
Hayley Holt was the first to admit that she agreed with Jones stating, "It's just embarrassing".
"As a person who loves hip-hop, just keep it away, it's just not cool."
Matty McLean first stated that he found it "rather fun and awesome," but after watching it on a recent trip, he said, "I hate him. hate him so much. "
The general consensus within the team was that Air NZ should "get rid of it and be simple".
Hayley said, "What's wrong if someone just went out and said, here's where are your lifejackets, it's here that the outings are, make a good trip."
If, by a miracle, you have already avoided seeing the clip, treat your eyes:
