Carney's "Go Here" message may have arrived too late

A copy of introductory remarks from Mark Carney for this week's Monetary Policy Committee meeting – where members should raise the quarter-point discount rate – fell by chance in my hands. In the interest of an open government, it is right that I reproduce here a few edited highlights of his remarks.
