The glass panels that fell off a truck also caused delays on Auckland's south highway.
The New Zealand Transport Agency tweeted at 12:25 that debris had closed the left and central lane heading south under the bridge near Ellerslie. his recovery team had attended and swept the glass on the side of the highway, thus allowing the reopening of lanes.
But traffic remained heavy from Hobson Street to the south, NZTA tweeted
