Kevin Ratana was killed in August and the police are now looking for images of drones that could help his investigation of the homicide.

A drone user may have crucial images for investigating the murder of a Whanganui gang member.

Mongrel Mob member Kevin Ratana, known as "Kastro", 27, was shot dead outside his home on Puriri Street on August 21st.

Police believe that a drone user may have captured images or a film of a vehicle potentially linked to death.

A police spokeswoman said police were trying to uncover the motions of a white Hyundai coupe that the killers would have used.
