Great accident on the South Highway after being followed by a police helicopter

Emergency services face a major accident in Auckland after a vehicle was tracked from the Eagle Police Helicopter

A police spokesman said the vehicle was driving in the wrong direction on the South Highway. but the Eagle helicopter followed the vehicle from the air

The vehicle appears to have crashed into a truck at the Papakura interchange, partially blocking the tracks to the north.

No injuries were reported and three people are now

The NZTA confirmed that the two northbound lanes were temporarily blocked to allow recovery of the vehicles, but that they had been reopened since.
