Cowboys coach Paul Green has refused to speculate on the length of star Jason Taumalolo's attack because of the knee injury suffered in the defeat against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
While Tevita Pangai jrr was embarking on the demolition of the valiant Cowboys group, Taumalolo was hit on one knee early and was awkwardly twisted during a tackle involving Pangai in the middle of the first half.
He fought until his replacement in the 34th minute and played no role in the second half. The Broncos took the advantage 24-0 in the 50th minute, finally getting a comfortable 29-10 win.
Taumalolo was not the only concern of Paul Green, the coach of the Cowboys, but he is by far the most important.
The loss of Nene Macdonald two minutes before half-time, due to a blow to the head, forced a complete reshuffle of the North Queensland baseline in the second half, while forward John Asiata 'dynamic exchange, suffered an EIS, but returned to 12 minutes.
Early reports suggested that Taumalolo had a right knee injury from a medial ligament in the right knee that would prevent him from staying for at least two weeks, but Green was not ready to set a schedule for his injury after the match.
"I'm not going to speculate until we know exactly what we're dealing with," Green said.
"He has a medical problem, I do not know how bad it is."
Despite the fact that they boasted of a group of players laden with representative players, the Cowboys failed to curb the momentum generated by Pangai in the first minutes and resumed by the mainstay of the exchange, Tom Flegler.

"We were probably looking for an easy start, an easy way to play and there is no easy way in this competition."
There were concerns about a back arm injury to Michael Morgan, which Green did not expect to result in a break, and he expects Nene Macdonald to be able to deal with Cronulla after failed at an EIS at half-time.
