Ironman Terenzo Bozzone says he "is fine" after being hit by a truck earlier in the week.

Bozzone, 33, was hit by riding a bike in Kumeu, in the northwest of the city on Tuesday.He was rushed to Auckland City Hospital with serious injuries.

Friday, Bozzone posted on his Facebook, thanking the Kiwis for their love and support after the accident.

"It's amazing to know that I have so many people behind me. "

He wanted to let his fans know he was" fine, "he said.
