By 2036, it is expected that more than 1.2 million people will be aged 65. Senior Minister Tracey Martin says employers need to consider the population growing old.
"They have to take into account that they have to change right away," Martin said.

Martin today launched the White Paper Act Now, Age Later, for government, business and labor, to create a new national strategy to provide opportunities for of aging work.

"They must support collaboration with older workers and consider their needs," Edwards said.
