Manawatū Turbos pro Tuki Raimona Tung Raimona was fired by the Manawatū Rugby Union after he was banned from the sport for a doping offense.

Raimona, who played two seasons for the Turbos of Manawatū, was one of three New Zealand rugby players who were banned from two years for such offenses after charges were laid by Drug Free Sport New Zealand

Brandyn Laursen and Lionel Skipwith were also banned.

Raimona was contracted for this year, but Manawatū CEO Shannon Paku said the pillar was no longer in place.
