NZ Warriors hooker Issac Luke slams "demotion" NRL referee

Referee Gerard Sutton will be at the helm of the Warriors this weekend. 19659005] Issac Luke, hooker to the New Zealand Warriors, says the "downgrading" of referee Gerard Sutton to their match against the Titans on Sunday is "an insult".

In a hasty tweet, Luke writes that he just discovered The "low profile" match that Sutton had been named after a controversial broadcast in the match last weekend between the Cronulla Sharks and Canberra Raiders was the one he was going to play with his teammates.

"Describing demotion is humiliating for the teams involved," wrote Gould

"He emphasizes naivety insensitivity, inexperience, all things that have referees in the situation they are currently in, all of which can be corrected, I honestly believe it, but I do not see those people fixing it."

Before Luke's tweet, Cameron George, the general manager of Warriors, told Stuff: "Our only goal is to compete with the Titans and prepare as best we can."
