One person died after the collision of two cars in Okaihau, in the Far North.
One person died and four others were injured after a serious accident in Okaihau, in the Far North.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 10 pm on Wednesday, a police spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred on State Highway One near Old Valley Road.
The Serious Crash Unit was present, according to a statement from the police.
The road is currently closed with detours in place, motorists are advised to take an alternative route via Highway 10.
