The scene where two victims died after a horrific car crash in Pakuranga, Auckland on Friday morning.
A teacher at Tāmaki College said that the loss of a former student results in "great loss and extreme grief".
Nathan Quist was killed Friday morning when a car crashed into a building in Pakuranga, Auckland.
In an e-mail to students and staff, Doris Taufateau, dean of year 12, encouraged students to "cry, but also to look at each other"

It is understood that the other person killed in the accident was a teenager
Pakuranga Rd was closed while the police were investigating the accident.
She recently started Pakuranga College, according to her Facebook page
Hundreds of messages honoring her and Nathan were posted on social networks.
"I can not believe you left," said one of the girl's friends in a moving message.

The car hits a building that houses a number of businesses.
"I thought it would have been many more years to come … I do not know what to do without you."
Kenny Quist paid tribute to Nathan: "J & # I was so anxious to see you grow up … a bright future. "
Teenagers are believed to have died when the car they were traveling in struck a street lamp, crashing down on a riverbank and hitting a commercial building around 4:30 Friday.
The wreckage was only discovered two hours later by a man arriving at work. He said that the car was "disintegrated into several pieces".
Images of the scene showed a crumpled vehicle in the building's parking lot on Pakuranga Road.
A police officer described him as one of the worst accidents they had seen for a long time
It was "pretty obvious that speed [was] was a contributing factor," he said. said Senior Sergeant Jono Chappell of the Manukau County Traffic Police Team.
