PC shipments increased in the second quarter of the year.
While this is the first increase in six years, no one is
talk about an alarm clock again. It could be what people in the

Gartner and IDC publish their sales
estimates show a slight increase in sales. Gartner put the
increase to 1.4%. IDC has a growth of 2.7%
increase.
It is interesting to note here the two market studies
companies do not measure quite the same thing.
Shipping is not a sale. It's a computer that has
moved from a factory to the warehouse of a retailer. But PC

The most bullish estimate of IDC includes
sales of PC-like devices such as Chromebooks,
