Waikato police investigate the suspicious death of a 48-year-old Huntly man who was found dead in his home at Berrymans Access Road, Huntly, Saturday.
Wayne Noda, 48, was found dead at home in the western suburbs overlooking the Huntly Generating Station. Saturday afternoon.
Police say his death is suspicious and calls for the observation of any unusual activity around the Berrymans Access Rd area on Saturday.
On Tuesday, the 48-year-old man's family came and went from the dilapidated slab to the local Te Kauri Marae, just minutes from the road where his body lay in state.
His brother said that Noda was the father of several children who did not live at home.
He said that the family was fine and that Noda's tangi would take place over the next few days.
Neighbors said that the police had been home since Saturday afternoon and that she was conducting a scene review on Sunday at the property.
A white tent was erected while the police were performing a scene examination with ESR forensic experts.

Detective Sergeant Ross Patterson, from Waikato CIB West, said the police were in the early stages of the investigation.
An autopsy was completed in Auckland on Monday and the results were finalized on Tuesday, he said.

Patterson appealed to anyone who has seen anything suspicious or unusual in the area on Saturday, June 30 to contact the police.
