High-tech features include Caterpillar engines, Rolls-Royce propellers and a DMT electric towing winch.
Kīnaki has a terminal pull – the standard measure for the traction of a watercraft – more than 60 tons, which is now the industry standard as ships become larger.
In comparison, the Kupe has a terminal pull of only 28 tons.
