Thanks! Otago Volts: another surprise

Otago Volts drummers Nathan Smith and Michael Rippon competed for the title of "worst race of the week" in a competitive field.

Yesterday, in Pakistan, the third day of their second test against Australia, Azar Ali thought he had scored a limit, but was exhausted talking with his partner in the middle of the box office.

This morning, the Volts produced this howler during their second tour of the Plunket Shield against the Wellington Firebirds (see the video in the media player above).

To complicate matters, his partner Smith reached the middle of the field before realizing that Rippon would not come back, then he dropped, falling flat on his back. Smith was fired for the most embarrassing duck of his career.

The Firebirds made 509 in their first innings and the Volts were fired for 190 in their first innings before lunch on the third day.

Pakistan shocker:

On the third day of the second test between Australia and Pakistan, a colossal brain was blurred leaving those who looked at him astonished.

As Pakistan began to tighten the Australians' screws and push their lead to inaccessible heights, the moment came.
