Stan Lee died of heart failure.
The comic book legend – deceased Nov. 12 – died of heart failure and respiratory problems, according to his death certificate.
TMZ reports that Stan was also suffering from aspiration pneumonia, resulting from the inhalation of food, stomach acid or saliva into the lungs.
Stan – who was 95 when he died – was put to rest after a "private ceremony" on Friday, November 16th.

Stan began his career in 1935 as a writer, publisher, executive film producer, actor and publisher. He created or co-created some of the most famous comic book characters – and later on-screen heroes – that still loved by millions today.
